Very recently Proton...our favourite car manufacturer launched the new satria neo cps. It houses the new CPS campro engine from the Gen 2 CPS. FYI the campro (cam profiling) engine was a clever invention of proton and lotus to stand against other engines like the mivec, vvti, i-vtec and also the dvvt. It was a simple configuration of having variable valves applied at diffrent conditions. The previous campro had a lousy torque at the 2000-3000 rpm range. Really bad i tell you. Pressing the accelerator to the floor or even through the floor wont give you much response. You will need to bring it up to a steady 3500 rpm and you will unveil the prowness of this little 1.6 engine. After 3500, the car will much more responsive and can reach a steady 170km/h easily.
However the CPS version gave it a much more better torque curve and very steady response in the previous lower rpm.Over that it maintains the same power u can get at higher rpm's.

Sexy yeah? Simillar to the older Satria GTI, but it carries a newer more fierce outlook.Ready to pounce any minute.
